A recent mum to more flyball babies, SkyeDog was a jumping and ball natural from the very first look. Unfortunately Skye has always had an aversion to the box, basically, however we try to work it she desperately expects the box to throw its bounty for her, so she waits.. and waits... Grr!
Skye just needed some competition to get over her aversion to the box! Extreme-box-only-work was starting to pay off... then her mum Helen selfishly decided to give birth to lil Lexie (Alexia Elizabeth) as our first teeny baby Monster (Massive Congratulations Helen & Stuart), meaning she was out of training for as short a time as poss for Helen (not that shes hooked or anything!).
On her return SkyeDog remembered the drillwork she'd had and finally started triggering the box consistently in training. Back in starters comp and she still did it so we graduated her to Open 'to try her out'. This little lady ran her heart out and was so speedy and focused with no issue with the box whatsoever- Yay! Great job well done ladies! She's gone from strength to strength since then and when shes not keeping an eye on her little sister she has been busy racking up rozzi's and points. SkyeBallDog Intermediate was crowned in 2011 and we're sure shes got more to come! Well done ladies!
